About Stuart
Stuart J. Curry is the pastor of Salem Mennonite Brethren Church in Bridgewater, South Dakota. Originally from Washington State, he has served in ministry for more than three decades in a variety of roles, including camp director, youth pastor, Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) director, and AWANA Assistant Director.

Whether he’s preaching a sermon, writing poetry, or sharing stories from the “school of hard knocks,” he brings God’s Word to life in practical, heartfelt ways. Known for his humor, honesty, and authenticity, he connects with people of all ages—helping them see how God is present in everyday moments.
He is also the author of Keeper of the Light, an Advent devotional designed to draw readers closer to Christ during the Christmas season. In addition to his writing, Stuart enjoys writing poems that offer encouragement and reflection.
Stuart and his wife, Anne, have been married for 33 years and are the proud parents of eleven children and grandparents of three. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, chasing after his kids, and searching for the perfect cup of coffee.
